About this deal

Before pressure cooking, we could make use of the Sear/Sauté setting to brown the chicken and onion, then we added the rest of the ingredients and switched to the Pressure Cook setting - choosing 25 minutes on high. The stew and chicken curry were cooked perfectly with well-reduced sauces and tender chunks of meat and vegetables. The pressure release valve’s loose fit is intentional; it enables a quick and easy transition between SEAL and VENT and helps regulate pressure by releasing small amounts of steam during cooking to ensure great results.

Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker [OP300UK], 7-in-1, 6L, Electric

Especially when compared to how much effort either it is to make by the more traditional means (think several pans/constant monitoring), the Ninja Foodi is ridiculously easy to use, and there were no hiccups whatsoever. Thanks to the sear and sauté functions, we can prepare every element of our slow cooker beef stew in one, including browning the meat. Two methods of pressure drop include the natural method - where you leave the pressure cooker to drop back down to normal pressure naturally, or where you can release the pressure quickly, manually.Overall cooking takes into account how well the pressure cooker copes with cooking a beef and vegetable stew, a tricky risotto with delicate courgettes and cooking dried beans. Functionality wise it does so much more than pressure cook, and has 7 main features in one - hence the name. Each recipe is rated by how easy it is in case you want something simple or a challenge, and there are timing breakdowns for things such as veg and whole chickens too.

While the exterior is cool to touch, the removable cooking pot lacks any handles so it can be hot and a little fiddly to remove - especially when wearing large oven mitts. With an ergonomic design, easy to navigate controls and safe and well-designed pressure cooking steam release, we think it’s a worthwhile investment. If you’ve done this and still hear a loud hissing noise, it may indicate your Silicone seal is not fully in place. The screen is nice and clear to see as well, and it displays the times and temperatures to take the guesswork out of it all.We look at the time it takes to drop after all three of our cooking tests and work out which ones are the quickest and slowest. In terms of appliances it’s the ultimate one-pot cooker – the kitchen equivalent of a swiss army knife. With its hefty size, it's worth bearing in mind that it takes up a considerable amount of space and is heavy to lift. We also check for dirt traps and any other issues which could make some harder to keep clean than others. We found its large capacity bowl a great size to add the ingredients and ensure everything was evenly places as opposed to being piled on top of each other.

For those with a large family to feed, the Ninja Foodi 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker 6L OP300UK provides a great solution to speedy suppers. Its multiple cooking options, easy to navigate control panel and quick and intuitive features make it well worth worth stretching the budget on this large and versatile multi-cooker. Remove the silicone seal from around the slow cooker lid's internal rim to make sure you've got any splashes. It is all well and good reviewing its looks but the real proof of the pudding with any kitchen appliance comes when using it.Our honest opinion: Yes, definitely – if you have the workbench space to keep it, and you want something which can make mealtimes easier. Bringing the Foodi out of the box for the first time confirms what we expected – it is a large, heavy appliance. Once this was complete we added the salmon and bok choy by placing it on a the reversible rack in the pot over the rice, and used the crisping lid for 15 minutes. We also check how heavy the pressure cooker is, how good the handles are for carrying and if there will be any issues.

On the plus side, it definitely feels strong and sturdy, so we have no doubt it would last for years if properly cared for.Under this rating, we also check for dirt traps where food debris could get caught and need extra cleaning. With an additional lid for pressure cooking and separate components, the 'what's in the box' guide and 'using your Foodi instructions' offer clear diagrams showing which attachment is required for each setting. the Ninja Foodi 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker 6L OP300UK this product is still not exactly cheap, but with its vast range of features - to steam, pressure cook, slow cook, saute, bake, grill and gives food an enticing crispy finish - we think it's great value. It is definitely one of the clearest and most concise instruction books we have seen – and we are picky when it comes to this factor.
