I was wondering why there had been 2-3 perfumes released in 2021 (Fantasy Intense, Sheer, and Electric), but Intense and Sheer smell like the original, so really the only drastically 'new' perfume for 2021 is the Electric Fantasy. This nutty element reminds me of perfect intense by Marc Jacobs (although they aren’t dupes at all by the way, just that initial nutty scent is familiar). Since I am a big Fantasy fan, I was excited to try this, and it did not disappoint! Intense smells like someone decided to make a batch of Fantasy with better quality ingredients. The vanilla cupcake note is MUCH better than the 10th Anniversary edition and better than the original I have from 2013-2014. It could be that there is more white chocolate, too. There is also a stronger, deeper base (maybe the oudlike wood) that makes Intense smell a little like a niche scent. Only a little. In the dry down this smells like sweetened baby powder, just so calming. If you have smelled others in the line that have that lychee-like tartness, didn't like it, and are thinking 'maybe this one is different!' - no, it is not different, it is very much still here and I hear you, I miss the OG Fantasy formulation too. But I mean it. The lychee is STILL here. Seriously. You. do. not. need. another. bottle. of. fantasy.
The box is the typical Fantasy design and thankfully no picture of Britney's on the box. I'd rather have no picture at all instead of one that has Britney looking like a blonde Kardashian or looking like somebody else other than herself. Realistically I see why there's no picture since this fragrance is taking place during Britney's career boycott. Yes it’s more intense, but this is mainly from the patchouli. Definitely leaning towards an ‘older’ audience, I don’t think this would suit a young teen.To be honest, unless you're a Britney Spears perfume fan I would skip this one, or if you like Fantasy but want something very light. Cotton candy is Rainbow Fantasy's most dominant note, however, its scent is soft and feminine rather than sugary and headache-inducing. I would go so far to say that Rainbow Fantasy is a definite crowd-pleaser and could easily appeal to women of all ages.
I don´t know why they have made this scent so weak with no sillage. i can spra myself with like 30 sprays and just smell a whiff of it. The perfume itself upon first spray is very 'woody, spicy and musky' which floats beautifully and then the fantasy DNA with the white chocolate develops underneath it. After 10 minutes in, the woody top notes are much more prominent and ever-so wonderfully blended in with 'cupcake' note. Sometimes flankers meant as sideline variations on a fragrance, become more popular than the original scent.
