About this deal

It has a Core-XY gantry, which means instead of there being one motor for the X axis, and one motor for the Y axis, instead it has an intricate belt loop where two motors work together to move the hotend in the X and Y directions. This allows the motors to be stationary, and use the torque of both motors to control the hotend position. The gantry also uses linear rails for the x and y axis. These design decisions are what allows for the 250 millimeters per second print speeds. As a 3D printer that focuses on printing speed, the ender7 does accomplish its goals in some ways. It produces quality prints and is reliable, easy to use, quiet and versatile. It will fit in just as well at design studios, prototyping companies, and architectural firms. The full metal extruder with double drive gear ensures a strong grip, greater and more even extrusion force and a continuous and stable feed.

If the build succeeds it is ready for you to upload to your printer. You will know if it was successfully built because it will show a SUCCESS in green at the bottom of the window in Visual Studio Code. Example of what a successful compile looks like. Your environment name may be different from what is shown above.

Speed is not the only thing that affects the print time, the thing that is really slowing us down is acceleration. Printer needs a specific amount of time to reach certain speed, it does not happen instantly. So with models like 3D benchy, the distance between one point and another is so small , that the printer never reaches its top speed, so when you print on ender 7, the print time is not greatly reduced.

So as mentioned before, this is my first time operating a 3D printer. The main things to convey is that I can’t compare and contrast with other consumer models (as I haven’t used anything else), and that all of the info in this review is based on figuring it out as I went along. There are a myriad of resources online where you can troubleshoot issues, find recommendations, and browse files that are ready to print and I spent a good deal of time doing just that. I definitely know more now than I did at the start, and there seems to be no bottom to how far down the rabbit hole you can go. With the Ender 7, Creality is boasting a staggeringly high 250 mm/s print speed while claiming to maintain the same printing quality. After adjusting temperatures and trying again this bunny (file included on the MicroSD card) was the one good print on that side of the bed. The faster speed promised by Creality is elusive. The Ender 7 will print slower on the initial layers along with some infill or technical areas. Take a look at this video showing just that.

Aimed at designers and hobbyists, Creality's fastest Ender is also equipped with a dual motor-equipped Core-XY structure with linear orbital positioning, allowing users to print at speed without sacrificing model accuracy. The Ender 7 achieves these speeds thanks to its 42-60 stepper motors that provide ample power and torque to the belts. In addition, to guarantee precise movement even at such high speeds, the Ender 7 features linear rail guides for the X and Y axis, which should provide smooth and stable operation and long-lasting durability. k06032022firmware.bin => prebuild klipper firmware for creality ender7 with the !!!!SAFETY CRITICAL!!!! intial pin configuration (set in .config above) to avoid the printer heated bed powering on at startup when no raspberry is connected)

Discover efficient and speedy 3D printing with the Ender 7 3D printer by Creality 3D. Creality 3D has designed a core-XY structure 3D printer kit that you can easily assemble to produce extremely accurate models and parts. The Ender 7 is compatible with the materials: PLA filament, PETG filament, and ABS filament. If you aren’t versed in 3D CAD and building your own files, you’ll want to head on over to Thingiverse or one of the many other places to browse and acquire files for something you want to print.NOTE: In an ideal world the config's i provided works for you out of the box, as i have done the above steps and been testing the printer for quite some time. Creality Ender 7: Specs, Price, Release & Review: https://all3dp.com/1/creality-ender-7-review-3d-printer-specs/ The good news is flipping the surface over is really easy to do. First, make sure the machine is off and the bed has cooled completely. Rotate open the two metal clips at the front corners of the bed and then wiggle the bed plate towards you until free. Flip the plate over and reverse the process to install it. For me, the glass surface solved all the adhesion issues. No reason to even try the other side again. Here’s a shot early on in a print where the adhesion was greatly improved.

Different printers/boards will have different .bin file names but they will all end in the .bin file extension. Cloud Storage Note: Extract to a folder that is NOT in a “cloud” storage folder. Many users have reported issues using the firmware when the folder is in a cloud storage folder. Q&A: Some customers may want to know what to do if the Teflon tube is curled at the extruded end of the machine?Once the files are extracted you will need to open the folder in Visual Studio Code. You must open the folder named Firmware and not any other one. Failure to open the firmware at the correct folder level will result in it not working. Bed leveling: This is necessary to make sure the Creality Ender 7 3D Printer’s print head is the exact same distance from the bed anywhere in the X/Y coordinates of its print travel. To do this, you’ll move the print head to each corner of the print bed via the touch screen controls and then use the corresponding manual dial underneath to adjust the height of the print bed from the print head to where it just touches the sheet of paper. The paper acts as a feeler gauge, and after adjusting each corner, you move to the next until you have done all four at least 4 times because each corner affects the other 3 (hopefully with decreasing amounts each time). I found it worked best when I could just feel the nozzle scratching a little like a rollerball pen feels, but it’s subjective and the resulting print may result in you adjusting feel. For the price I would have expected auto-bed leveling considering that it’s included on some of Creality’s lower priced Ender models.
