About this deal

Strawberry Créme - A creamy strawberry flavoured centre covered in Old Gold dark chocolate (red with silver). There’s seven Bountys and Malteasers each, whilst the Galaxy Caramel has seven and the plain Galaxy gets six. They are an extremely common gift on Mothering Sunday and sell well throughout the Christmas period. [4] They are available in plastic tubs or boxes and in the UK, Isle of Man and Ireland currently contain 9 different varieties of chocolate. In a YouGov poll Cadbury Roses were ranked the 6th most famous confectionery in the UK. [5] Current varieties [ edit ] UK and Ireland [ edit ]

By 2020, an alternative origin of the name was given in a text panel printed on the side of tubs of Roses. It notes they were named after the favourite flowers of Dorothy Cadbury, a director of the company and renowned botanist, which grew in the gardens of the original factory at Bournville. [1] [2] Upon launch in Ireland they were called 'Cadbury's Irish Rose'; however, this name was discontinued in the 1970s. [3] But, as varied as it is, there are actually only eight flavours in a Celebrations tin - the smallest variety out of the four. That being said, there are a whopping 65 chocolates in total, which is the highest number out of the lot. Cadbury Roses Pots Of Joy Strawberry Dream: dark chocolate dessert made with Cadbury chocolate with a strawberry coulis layer, launched 2014. Almond Caramel Bite - Soft and chewy caramel, with many small pieces of almond (light brown wrapper with purple twists). In this tub, there were seven Toffee Fingers and five Toffee Pennies - accounting for around 18% of the chocolates. These are perhaps the two most controversial flavours found in a tin of Quality Street because, let’s be honest, they’re usually the ones left 'til the end. They may even make it to New Year depending on how favoured they are.Thankfully, the bright colours of each of the eleven flavours inside are still as vivid and vibrant as memory serves. Inside, there’s favourites like the Purple One, Strawberry Delight, Caramel Swirl and Orange Crunch as well as flavours which perhaps divide opinion more - like the Toffee Penny, Coconut Eclair and Fudge. With a mixed bag of choices, there’s a reason why the likes of Quality Street, Celebrations, Roses and Miniature Heroes remain firm favourites each Christmas - and we all have our favourites, whether it’s the Wispa, the Purple One, Mars, or the Strawberry Dream. Caramel - Cadbury Caramel Toffee piece. Soft toffee encased in Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate (blue wrapper). But compared with all of the other boxes, Roses offered the most equal ratios in terms of flavours. Cadbury Roses Favourites Strawberry Dream: a limited-edition bag of Strawberry Dream chocolates, launched in September 2014.

But each and every year, many of us will come up with our own theories as to how the famed tubs are divided up and whether the Maltesers Teasers are really as scarce as we are led to believe…

Strawberry Dream - Square-shaped milk chocolate with strawberry seed engravings on top, filled with strawberry-flavoured cream fondant (pink wrapper). The same poll which determined that the 'Hazel in Caramel' variety was most popular in Ireland also showed this as being rated the 'worst' variety.Cadbury Roses are most frequently advertised with the classic slogan of "Say 'Thank You', with Cadbury Roses" in the UK, New Zealand and Australia, and "Thank you very much" on television advertisements. A memorable 1960s UK advertising campaign used the slogan 'Roses Grow On You' and included television advertisements presented by the comedian Norman Vaughan. Signature Truffle - New for Christmas 2013, this is a truffle encased in milk chocolate (red wrapper with blue edges). The chunk itself and the Strawberry Dream take the prize for the most popular, with seven of each in our box. On the other side of the equation, it’s the Signature Truffle and the Caramel that make themselves lesser known here with five each.
