Lines get blurred though and the 'just friends' mandate becomes more and more difficult to maintain. The Plus One” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2023. What begins as a fake wedding turns into something that these childhood enemies never could have expected. Some facts are indisputable. Gravity exists. The sun rises in the east, and sets in the west. Indira does not like Jude, nor does Jude like Indira. However what happens when these two childhood foes find that the one thing they can rely on is one another.

i am an absolute glutton for broken people falling in love and realizing they're just a little less broken and a lot more hopeful. in this economy we get therapized with the characters in the book.

After Indira and her childhood nemesis Jude are thrown together for her brother's (and his best friend's) wedding, they unexpectedly team up to become each others fake date whilst they try to deal with their separate issues. But, soon, things begin to feel all too real... Book 3 in the A Brush With Love series ~ previous book characters are involved here, but probably fine as a standalone.It's still fantastic, don't get me wrong. I think part of it actually may stem from the relationship dynamic between our two mains. Jude and Indira have known each other a long time. They have an established relationship.

This book was sweet, emotional, steamy, and portrayed mental health and trauma in such a realistic way. Indira and Jude are childhood enemies who grew up alongside each other due to Jude’s friendship with Dira’s brother Collin. Fast forward to present day and Dira, now a therapist, and Jude, a surgeon, find themselves both living at Collin’s house leading up to his wedding.That's extremely minor though and completely personal taste. You may read this and feel that it is perfectly paced. It is super fun the whole way through, I just could have enjoyed a bit more time with the resolution to the conflict.

Harper Horowitz is in her last year of dental school and is anxious about her future placement into an oral surgery residency program. In truth though, Harper is anxious about a lot of things.

We need more books like this in the world’ But, irrationally, it was a hell of a lot easier to ride the wave of a decent week than to sit down on Dr. Koh’s beige couch and sift through her feelings until she realized she’d been deluding herself and her week was, in fact, total shit.
