But while Star Wars bounty hunters are always needed, they're hardly a scarce commodity. From the original Star Wars trilogy, the love-them-or-hate-them prequels, and the Disney era of sequels and spinoffs, to the various animated and live-action small screen fare, Star Wars has introduced a litany of bounty hunters of all races and reputations. Some of these have proven far more memorable than others, and the below list comprises major characters headlining their own shows (like The Book of Boba Fettand The Mandalorian), as well as one-hunt-wonders fans barely remember. LUKE SKYWALKER embarks upon an epic mission with WEDGE ANTILLES and the brave pilots of STARLIGHT SQUADRON to rescue a lost division of the REBEL FLEET. You don’t have to read all of the tie-ins if you don’t want to. You’ll get a full story if you read War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha and War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha #1-5. After that, it’s up to you as to which tie-ins you decide to read. Cover A Pagulayan Villanelli Blueprint October 2021 STAR WARS: WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS #5 (OF 5) • Sprouse Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary Variant

Reeling from the events on JEKARA and forced to confront the reality of her own choices and losses, LEIA ORGANA meets QI’RA to discuss the person they both have in common – heroic smuggler HAN SOLO!

Boba Fett versus the galaxy.

Upcoming September 2021 Marvel Comics revealed on Newsarama (archived from the original on June 24, 2021) Upcoming October 2021 Marvel Comics revealed: "The unthinkable has happened" on Newsarama (archived from the original on July 23, 2021) Things go from bad to worse, as Boba Fett realizes that he himself has become almost as valuable to the galaxy’s hunters as Han Solo, and he must turn to the least trustworthy person in the galaxy for help...DOCTOR APHRA…

For War of the Bounty Hunters, the main story is told in the miniseries of the same name. Then, existing Star Wars Comics (Star Wars, Darth Vader, Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, and Doctor Aphra) and some one-shots tell side stories that relate to what’s happening in the main tale. Who is the UMBARAN? What is her role within the EMPIRE and in the WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS? And what happens when she emerges from the darkness to challenge Darth Vader himself? War of the Bounty Hunter also indulges in referential moments that come straight from superhero comics (or perhaps Avengers movies) that will hit like dopamine for Star Wars fans susceptible to #lore. War of the Bounty Hunters will be the biggest Star Wars story Marvel has told thus far. And while he can’t say much, Soule promises it will have an impact.Boba Fett clearly doesn’t take Han Solo directly to Jabba’s palace,” Soule tells StarWars.com. “Something had to happen in between that intervening time between Empire and Jedi . And I was like, ‘I would like to tell that story, and I would like it to be about Boba Fett and what happens to him.” Featuring an unprecedented look at the inner workings of the Emperor’s inner circle -- and the return of IG-88! Connecting all the dots in a universe can constrict storytelling (see: Rise of Skywalker). But War of the Bounty Hunter proclaimed itself a crossover event, so crossover it will. Soule cleverly weaves in some High Republic history into a conversation between scheming Hutts, but the real “Oh, really?” moment comes at the tail end of the book, when our unnamed villain explains why capturing Han Solo is more than just a power-grab move. It’s an attempt to revive the Crimson Dawn, the crime syndicate previously run by Darth Maul and — as we learn in the maligned Solo: A Star Wars Story — Qi’ra, Han Solo’s ex. In fact, while it may make good on the promise of a big Boba Fett adventure, War of the Bounty Hunters #1 (the first of five issues) made me more excited about the return of a completely different character, and a moment in Star Wars that I figured no creator would ever want to return to. That has its own thrills. Who is making War of the Bounty Hunters?
