In one alternate world, when Starscream possessed Waspinator, his spark mutated the Predacon, granting Waspinator the Decepticon's longevity and the ability to travel through time. Much later, after Cybertron became a technorganic world, Thrust and Waspinator were not fused into a small technorganic insect, but into a full-on technorganic Transformer that merged the two both physically and mentally. Shortly after being reformatted, he somehow got separated from his native universe, ending up in Axiom Nexus. He met up with Heinrad, and Thrustinator's chronal phase from Starscream helped Heinrad master his own time abilities. In return for aid in "fixing" the past, Heinrad promised to Thrustinator that he would be returned to his home universe. Timeless
The Waspinator is a product designed to look like a wasp’s nest, hang it in your garden and the theory goes that wasps should think it’s a real nest from another colony of wasps and stay well away from it. Wasp is the only character to have shown three different bodies throughout the show (a Cybertronian race car, a green version of Bumblebee's Earthen car mode, and a giant wasp). When the Predacons were on the verge of defeat, Terrorsaur was the last Predacon that stood between the Maximal and entry to the Predacon ship. The transformation relies quite a bit on the tab/slot system between the robot arms and legs. If you're just displaying the beast mode it's fine, but move him around enough and the tab systems have a tendency to break apart, which is unfortunate. He is one of the six original Predacons who allied with Megatron to steal the Golden Disk, before becoming stranded on pre-historic Earth. Of the Predacons, Waspinator is generally considered to be their most bumbling and incompetent member, often easily being taken down by the Maximals and used as a pawn by Megatron and the other Predacons in their schemes. Ultimately, this would lead to him finally abandoning the Predacons at the end of the Beast Wars; although he would later return to Megatron's side after being brainwashed and transformed into the Vehicon Thrust. The two sides battled, and Hot Rodimus took the opportunity to transform into helicopter mode to pursue his true quarry. Bemused by the presence of this larger Transformer, Megatron sent Waspinator and Terrorsaur to give chase. Rodimus was able to shoot down Terrorsaur and shred Waspinator to ribbons with his rotors.
