About this deal

You'll move around one large 2D map collecting power ups and abilities that gradually unlock access to new areas. The PS2 and PSP versions are initially fun to play, offering a comfortable take on old school 2D brawling.

The voice acting in this game is rather terrible however, and there are a few parts of the story that don't totally add up, but overall, I think the story of the game is great. It starts out the way it normally does in most Spider-Man games, but as the game progresses, more and more people get infected with symbiotes, and the city eventually becomes consumed by them. I know it has a 12 year old tag but I found out first that it would be fine for his age and it really is.However, the game's choice system received mixed reviews; although some praised how the player is able to create a dynamic experience with their choices, others were critical of the system's limitations. From tangling with Venom in Spider-Man 3, to teaming up with some of the series' most famed villains in Spider-Man: Friend of Foe, Activision has kept the boyish webslinger working overtime. While we can’t honestly say that it was a total success what we can say is that the good times far outweighed the bad times.

As he swings over and between buildings with fantastic speed and agility, he watches the plague sweeping the streets below.

Players control Spider-Man and can web swing, web zip, crawl walls, and use the 'spider-sense' to identify and lock onto enemies. When you die you'll be able to guide red health orbs to the center of the touch screen while popping poisonous blue orbs to replenish Spider-Man's health. GameRankings and Metacritic gave it a score of 79% and 77 out of 100 for the DS version; [10] [17] 54% and 52 out of 100 for the Microsoft Windows version; [11] [18] 69% and 69 out of 100 for the PlayStation 2 version; [12] [19] 70% and 67 out of 100 for the PlayStation 3 version; [13] [20] 77% for the PlayStation Portable version; [14] 68% and 68 out of 100 for the Xbox 360 version; [16] [22] and 65% and 63 out of 100 for the Wii version.

Players Can Customise Their Ideal Spider-Man: Players earn experience in multiple combat disciplines, allowing them to custom-design their ideal Spider-Man. Web of Shadows has also dispensed with the “Spider-Sense” mechanic from Spider-Man 3 which forced you into battles of constant dodge-fighting that were boring and drawn out, and instead focuses on allowing you to block and dodge if you want to (with satisfying results), but not outright punishing you for NOT doing so if you’re not interested.Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Spider-Man: Web of Shadows -- Amazing Allies Edition Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Spider-Man Web of Shadows Head-To-Head Get help swinging your way onto the right console. The 360, PS3, and Wii versions feature a great deal of voice acting, though you might find the quality of dialogue and overall performance a bit over-dramatic. The PS2 and PSP versions of the game are much more straight-forward given their comparatively simple 2D design. Before the game finally unlocks on Steam, I felt like I should review this little old Spider-Man game from 2008. The visuals aren’t perfect, mind you; the more generic citizens and enemies tend to be, well, generic, and later in the game, when the city is full of hostile symbiotes, the game tends to slow down on occasion as the screen fills with foes, but these are occasional problems that don’t ruin the experience significantly.
