This one was honestly a head-scratcher for me, and I managed to make head and tails of Final Crisis! I suppose it should go without saying that you're better off forgetting everything that was established about the Monitors pre-N52. This character, Grail, has really conflicting motivations that pivot like three times within the climax of this storyline. Coupled with the consistently great artwork, this is a really good read, though it still doesn't live up to Johns' best runs.Over that last year, I've really gotten into DC comics, Justice League, Swamp Thing and Aquaman soo far.
