About this deal

A super common fragrance ingredient found naturally in many plants including citrus peel oils, rosemary or lavender. I really liked how long this lasted on my Skin, as I sprayed a little bit of it on to my Wrists, Neck and Clothes when I was getting ready at about eight o’clock in the morning, and I could still faintly smell it on my Skin and Clothes when I had Lunch at about twelve thirty in the afternoon. g. rosemary, eucalyptus, lavender, lemongrass, peppermint and it's the main component (about 50-90%) of the peel oil of citrus fruits.

Also, works well to fill in fine lines and wrinkles and give skin a plump look (of course that is only temporary, but still, it's nice). I have a sample of MJ Daisy Sunshine which has a solar accent but there is a familiarity in the background for sure. Limonene's nr1 function is definitely being a fragrance component, but there are several studies showing that it's also a penetration enhancer, mainly for oil-loving components. In a 2001 worldwide study with 178 people with known sensitization to fragrances citronellol tested positive in 5. The mist cools down even sun-damaged or hot summer skin, and the brightening and moisturizing daisy extract and hyaluronic acid moisturize every corner, like the white petals of a freshly picked daisy.Marc Jacobs recently extended his line of fragrances to include a new scent with a citrus twist, and the Cool Daisy Body Yogurt is an affordable way of recreating the original Daisy scent loved by many. It does smell nice but the problem is that it oxidizes on air exposure and the resulting stuff is not good for the skin. It’s one of the “EU 26 fragrances” that has to be labelled separately (and cannot be simply included in the term “fragrance/perfume” on the label) because of allergen potential. I should mention that I'm reviewing the body yogurt, because I've learned with this brand that the butters and yogurts are *more* fragranced than the mists.

As with all fragrance ingredients, citronellol can also cause allergic contact dermatitis and should be avoided if you have perfume allergy. That’s why a product containing linalool that has been opened for several months is more likely to be allergenic than a fresh one. Fragrance in the US and parfum in the EU is a generic term on the ingredient list that is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average (but it can have as much as 200 components! Btw, Xanthan gum is all natural, a chain of sugar molecules (polysaccharide) produced from individual sugar molecules ( glucose and sucrose) via fermentation. As for hair care, it is a non-volatile silicone meaning that it stays on the hair rather than evaporates from it and smoothes the hair like no other thing.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat, Butylene Glycol, Fragrance, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Sodium Gluconate, Hydroxycitronellol, Limonene, Citronellol, Daisy Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, CI 19140/Yellow 5, and CI 17200/Red 33, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Apricot and Daisy scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured a massive Jug of Apricot Juice over a Bouquet of freshly picked Daisies. I don't need more mists, but lotion-type products are easy to wear, they sit more substantially on the skin, and performance tends to be better. I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Apricot and Daisy for hours after I had used it. You can even slather it on damp Skin straight after a Shower, leaving you smelling as fresh and floral as a Field of Daisies.

Sinking in quickly without any stickiness, it leaves your skin feeling soothed from any dryness, with a healthy-looking glow. Other tasks include helping the product to absorb faster and deeper into the skin (penetration enhancer), making the product spread nicely over the skin (slip agent), and attracting water (humectant) into the skin. As an example, it mentions that Ci 19140 may cause itching and hives in some people but the colorant is always labeled so that you can avoid it if you are sensitive. All in all, limonene has some pros and cons, but - especially if your skin is sensitive - the cons probably outweigh the pros.

You can usually find it right in the very first spot of the ingredient list, meaning it’s the biggest thing out of all the stuff that makes up the product. Think of it like wandering through a Field of Flowers, or a Festival, but one of the chilled out daytime ones. I mean if you know and like MJ Daisy, I’d really suggest that you have a smell of Cool Daisy to see if indeed it does compare.

Back by popular demand, our Limited Edition Cool Daisy Body Care will leaving you feeling fresh as a 🌼 and smelling like one too! A super common fragrance ingredient that can be found among others in lavender, ylang-ylang, bergamot or jasmine. As for skincare, it makes the skin silky smooth, creates a subtle gloss and forms a protective barrier (aka occlusive). It really is just light clean white florals and fresh air, with maybe a very light touch of clean wood.
