This model is a very impressive display piece and is a must if you really want to show off your Eagle Transporter. The set includes options for three versions of the stun gun and includes viewscreen and ID badge variants on the water-slide decal sheet.

I followed the instructions and assembled the crew module followed by the fore and aft walkways, painting subassemblies as I went.It was the most expensive show ever made at the time, with the most realistic visual effects ever seen on the small screen. MPC introduces this all-new, accurately proportioned, and detailed kit of the iconic spacecraft in a precise 1/72 scale which can be decorated in one of three ways. The previous releases of the 12” version of the ship has always been well-received by fans and modellers everywhere. They replace the VTOL engines under the ship and module as well as the main propulsion units; plastic baffles detail the last. Accuracy varies greatly, as does the quality of the casting (resin is prone to air bubbles, which can be difficult to fix).

Backtracking to Step 11, I built the propulsion unit, cleaning up seams and painting the tanks, frames, and pipes before assembly. The remainder is largely made up of an episode guide, with more Japanese text and poor quality monochrome photos. You can vary the height depending on the length of the plastic tube from approx 4 inches to 6 inches (100mm to 150mm). You have the option of building the stun gun as a season 1 version with the flat top or a season 2 version with two different versions of the stun/kill switch.When building these 14" ones I usually use decals to do the panelling but on the 22" I tend to mask and paint. Each opening sequence of the first season of the "Space: 1999" television program provided a sneak peek at the action, excitement and explosions that would lie ahead. It's very modular and so there's quite a bit of repetition and there was a lot of clean up to be done after removing the parts from the sprue.
