About this deal

They all belong to the Confraternita del Vino Bardolino, founded in1982 by local producers with the Protection Consortium sponsorship. The winery was family-owned until 2018 when Montresor was acquired by Cevico, a co-operative group based in Emilia Romagna, with 2 highly regarded Veneto co-ops as co-investors. In spring, the village holds the Palio del Chiaretto: a long itinerary from Cisano to Punta Cornicello, during which you can taste the Bardolino Chiaretto in both its “Classico DOC” and “Spumante DOC” version. This refreshing, crunchy, cherry and raspberry-scented red is great lightly chilled – imagine you’re sipping it on Lake Garda. The Lake Garda microclimate which the hilly area above Bardolino enjoys produces Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grapes at a naturally high level of maturation. The land has a characteristic dark color, almost black, it is determinate by the water fusion of the glacier that previously covered this territory.It has a dry and sapid taste, lightly bitter but harmonic and fine, of great quality and sometimes depending on the settling time it could be lightly sparkly. The towns interested in the production of the Bardolino DOC are Torri del Benaco, Caprino Veronese, Rivoli, Pastrengo, Bussolengo, Castelnuovo del Garda, Sommacampagna and Valeggio sul Mincio entirely or partially interested.
