About this deal

In 2003, she moved to Liverpool to study Psychology and Biology; she attended Liverpool John Moores University Louise Pentland is a British author, vlogger, blogger and internet personality. There was some slight homophobia from side characters, but I appreciated how the family was dealing with it. Registered address: Unit 31, Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, LE5 3EF, United kingdom. The question of ‘is this justifiable’ has been floating around for some time, especially after it was released that another big YouTuber, Zoella, had her first book ghostwritten. He invited me to a rather exclusive bar at the top of the OXO Tower, one of London’s most iconic buildings on the River Thames with wrap-around views of the city from its terrace and, apparently, cocktails to die for.

She’s the number one parenting vlogger in the UK, with 9 million combined followers across her social platforms. But her best friend Lacey is increasingly broken-hearted about struggling to conceive, and her daughter Lyla is starting to come out with some horrible attitudes she's learning from someone at school.

I was secretly pleased that the job I’d assisted Natalie, my boss, on today – make-up for a shoot in a trendy loft studio in Shoreditch – had finished early. Both inciting incidents do lead Tabby to learn different things and she begins to step outside her comfort zone aided by the female characters around her. If you’re new, hello, welcome, my name is Louise Pentland, an author (I’ve written 5 best selling books), vlogger (I make joy filled videos about my life as an OG YTer Mama on my channel with 2.

Wilde About the Girl is what I would term a joyous kind of a read, while also a light-hearted tribute to motherhood. So I'm very glad I've FINALLY been able to rectify this shameful fact by devouring her latest standalone novel (in a single afternoon, that's how much I got swept away by the story!I can happily say that I genuinely enjoyed the entirety of this series, although I will say I am often too skeptical of books written by “youtubers” and “influencers”. From a traumatic birth with her first daughter, to single motherhood, to finding love again and having a second child, Louise discusses the realities many working mums face, and the impact of maternal mental health. Although I will say that a few topics in this book are definitely not easy situations to read about however it was enjoyable all the same. As mentioned, there are some major bombshells and big reveals throughout this book and a few of them were definitely predictable but some of them came out of the blue and can be fairly hard hitting.

I’ve been pretty cagey with details because you have to take these things slooowwwllyy but today is the day I can tell you a BIT more! She’ll need to make some pretty brave choices if she’s going to stop everything she cares about falling apart. It's also Robin's reactions to Lyla's outbursts that make it extra special, whether that's her verbal responses or her internal, sarcastic, embarrassed voice. She beautifully reveals her own imperfect but perfect route to motherhood, as well as the loss of her mum so early in her life, how it shaped her, and the mother she became. Actually randomly I’ve just thought of this comparison – if you like the Mamma Mia movies I think you’d enjoy this. Robin is thrilled at the opportunity to temporarily take over the reins at work when her boss takes some time out. If you don’t but you know a bookworm, feel free to send them this article, I’d appreciate it so much! Now as a single mother with a young child, Robin Wilde is filled with the guilt of many a parent, that constant nag in your ear that tells you you are not enough.

After the year from hell, she's pulled herself up and out of The Emptiness, her love life is ticking along nicely, single motherhood is actually quite fun and she is ready for whatever life throws at her. Overall, these books have been such happy, easy reads for when I've needed a pick-me-up, whether it's to read about Robin's sarcastic internal thoughts as she deals with difficult characters or some of the hilarious one-liners that Lyla comes out with. I received a gifted ARC copy for the purposes of an honest review thanks to Tracy at Compulsive Readers and the publishers. If a refund is payable to you we will process the refund as soon as possible, and, in any case within fourteen (14) days. I can’t even tell you how fun it was to play with all of that, I really can’t wait for you to loose yourself in this book. For further information about your statutory rights, contact your local authority Trading Standards department or consumer advice centre (for example the Citizen's Advice Bureau if you are in the UK). In August 2012, Pentland began a second channel named "Sprinkle of Chatter", where she uploads lifestyle vlogs. She was working in a number of office roles when she began writing a craft and interior DIY blog named "Sprinkle of Glitter".
