Try playing to 3 cards for a short game (great with a big group), or play to 10 cards to have a longer game. Compete to find the funniest, strangest, most unexpected, most amazing, most i-can't-believe-this-exists responses to prompts. Some of the actions are based on speed but others are based on what the “judge” deems to be the best.
Each player then has 1 minute to find the answer on their phone, the judge then picks who they think the winner is. It is like apples to apples but phone related and there isn't really anything inappropriate about it. The deck is then shuffled and placed in the middle of the playing area, within reach of all of the players.
As each person (including the Influencer) responds to the challenge, they place their phones face down in the center. These challenges respond to prompts like, ‘find a sci-fi outfit for the influencer’, or ‘take a selfie imitating an emoji face’. If you’re stuck on how a card should be played, or there’s a tie, let that round’s Influencer make the final decision.The vast majority of these cards are funny or worthy challenges to complete with your phone as the resource. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
Starting to the left of the Influencer and moving clockwise, each person eliminates a response by turning a phone face down and saying “Unfollow.If 1 or both of the last 2 people left still have phones facing up, skip clockwise to the next person who was eliminated and let them pick the winner. Sadly, not all can be played with the iPad but, the kids still love to play along with everyone else. However, texting a totally random number is a card best reserved for groups who are feeling that kind of brazenness. We played it as a family including my 10 year old daughter (she borrowed by husband's phone) and everyone had a good time.
If your phone’s turned down you can still eliminate others, and you can also eliminate yourself if you want. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. You can keep it PG and play with the whole family or let your responses run wild when grandma and the little ones aren't around. These are our favorite, they don’t award any immediate points, but they are challenges nonetheless, just for fun! Every player must have their own cell phone and find or create photos to answer questions and appeal to the taste of the judge.
