This book would be good in a classroom to teach that eating healthy is important but with a fun twist.

Prose and part-rhyme make this a lovely book to read aloud, and the illustrations by Mei Matsuoka are lively and bright. Mei is motivated by the passion to create something that touches people’s lives and hopefully leaves a positive impact on all.Benny ran away from hungry animals and people as he tried to convince them that he was a boy, and wasn't a burger. The book is so over-the-top silly that youngsters may miss the message about needing to eat fruits and veggies to be healthy.

This is a timeless picture book but brought up to date with a genuine and topical issue for modern children - fast food. After quicklybecoming the talk of the town, we couldn’t keep up with demand on the trailer, we decidedto move into a local pubs kitchen to operate from there doing takeaways and table service.The buttery, soft bun, the perfectly cooked beef hamburger and adding the jalapenos…loved every morsel of it. His mom ends up telling him that, "If all you eats is burgers, then one day he is going to turn into one" and Benny did! Discovered Burger Boy last week, been back every day following… Every time they slam it out of the ballpark. While we worked full time jobs in the engineering industry, both enthusiastic about burgersand food, we decided to open a burger van in our hometown of Port Talbot. This book made me smile with it's funny storyline and symphatic pictures and I bet children will love it as well. Over the course of the story, Benny realizes that eating just burgers is no good for him which is why he says he is never eating one again.

Her stories explore serious/educational subjects, but vary in tone from comical to thought-provoking and often manifest a world embodying animals or non-human characters. Born in Tokyo and moving to England at 11, she studied illustration and animation at Kingston University, London. Since graduating from Kingston College of Art in 2004 Mei Matsuoka has been in much demand as an illustrator. So next thing you know he's running all around like the Gingerbread man with different things chasing him wanting to eat him.
