About this deal

But this goes for thirty bucks at any retailer in the world, and for that reason, and that reason alone, no one seems to think it is worth mentioning. For men, of course Aramis remains that iconic fragrance that has accompanied many of us throughout our lifetimes. It was stronger than Tommy as it would still be powerful into the late afternoon when school let out.

On a colder summer day I took it to work and it lasted the whole work day (9+hours) and it was still projecting at about 40cm from me( after 9 hours! It’s a very good composition to be sure, and if you like this sort of classic aromatic men’s fragrance, you’re probably going to like Aramis, but nothing about it really stood out enough to set it apart from the many other 70s and 80s fragrances that scratch that itch for me personally. The original Aramis fragrance made a splash upon first introduction and continues to attract new devotees with each generation. It's really hard to fairly judge something so old in these terms, but being a splash, I'd say staying power is very similar to the newer spray. I left a review a while ago that got thumbed down to oblivion because I was too honest with my opinion. We all know what Aramis is, spray it on and be a man's man, go out and drink beer , fall asleep during a film your wife suggests, fart on a Sunday afternoon, wear a 10 year old barbour coat and spray this on with a nice shirt. but strangely, it feels more compelling because it dares to be beautiful, as well as shocking with its animalistic scent.

Just got a vintage 4oz bottle of the "cologne" and I actually like this more now than when I tried it before. Despite this being super old, and when I say Old, I mean great grandad used to wear this when I was a child! It'll please your grand/great grandmother but other than that I doubt it will please a woman in my age group.I steal away to the den and bask in the easychair for a while--appreciating the total masterpiece of woods, incense, herbs and anamalics. It's great for year round use, and you can wear this during the day or at night easily - this is a signature scent through and through.

Due to the retro nature, I'd say this one swings to a slightly older age bracket, but it's still very wearable unlike many other retro powerhouse frags. Aramis it’s a stunning leather, that while all macho in its campaigns and visuals, it also has room for the gentle and romantic man.Overall this is one of the most dominating masculine scents I've ever smelled and I still wear this if I'm going to be in a big crowd of men to assert my dominance. With a masculine appeal, and cool sophistication that never goes out of style, this distinctly masculine scent delivers the quality, composition and relevance that stands the test of time. As one poster mentioned, when the blue ambroxan synthetic fragrance trend ends because people actually want a fragrance Aramis will be there. I find that after 30 to 40 minutes it stays relatively close to the skin so I would say sillage is very average but longevity is good, I generally get 6 to 8 hours of wear out of it.

Aramis is its own scent and if you didn't know its past strength-this one will be strong enough for you-even though the eau de toilette is still far superior to most of today's designers. All-in-all it's an easily affordable fragrance that gives off the masculine vibe in a soapy fashion with some wetness of oakmoss playing around. It won't be my go-to scent for tackling the day as I think there are better options for my personal taste and style. This bottle has a much darker tinge to its color - a dark golden-brown tinge, unlike the pale golden tinge of the modern Aramis. It is distinctly masculine and unmistakably elegant, a provocative and eternally contemporary perfume.
