The LEGO Group has been recreating iconic starships, vehicles, locations and characters from the Star Wars universe since 1999, and there are a wide variety of sets to delight fans of all ages.
The cockpit and engine housing are particularly outstanding, since both structures correspond almost exactly with the source material. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. While these minifigures are fantastic additions to anyone’s collection and the inclusion of a female Hoth trooper offers a nice touch of diversity to the set, it does feel like a missed opportunity to update Han Solo’s Hoth minifigure – who better to take on the probe droid with his Wookiee pal?Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back fans will love this first-ever LEGO brick version of the AT-ST from the Battle of Hoth. While the standard AT-ST Driver would be more versatile for other environments, the brighter version appears excellent and displays continued detail on the legs.
The flaps were closed on the Hoth version of the AT-ST, so if they were open in the set it would be inaccurate. Having big sets from the original movies is still cool, and obviously, they keep revisiting evergreen and ever-present sets like the X-Wing and Death Star because they are so iconic. I do agree that it was somewhat jarring/spoiler-y to see the summary at the beginning of the review (vs. We use it all the time in French, so everytime I'm writing in English, I need to fight myself to avoid it. The integration of 2x6 wedge plates, introduced during 2021, is particularly effective and I love the enormous weapons that dominate the cockpit module, almost appearing too large for such a nimble walker.
The inclusion of the Probe Droid helps that, I think—between those three sets almost every character, vehicle, and weapon involved in the Imperial siege on Hoth is represented. The presence of Chewbacca might be a reference to his accompanying 7127 Imperial AT-ST, which was released during 2001. Someone who was in Kindergarten, and started to watch the show and got the first Clone Wars LEGO sets back in 2008 would be turning 20 this year and in college.
Can't help thinking that Chewbacca looks more like he's been trying to paint a white ceiling than snowswept. White speckles therefore cover the minifigure and look superb, although they are missing from the back of Chewbacca's head. I mean, my daughter was born two months before Disney bought Star Wars and she turned ten this year. review-75322-hoth-at-st This version of the AT-ST is uninspired, looks wrong, and doesn't deliver a lot of value for the things kids that do enjoy the movies are going to recognize. The Clone Wars, Rebels, Bad Batch, and the Disney+ shows makes up the bulk of Star Wars content out there.I totally understand that they may not always be available or appropriate, which to me, make them all the more valuable when you get to include them.
