The Meze 99 Classics is a set piece in any of the available finishes (walnut gold, walnut black) to be sure. Their respective bass responses were very close to being a match, though the Sonorous III may have gone just a wee bit deeper. Put them on, sit back, and enjoy your favorite sound of plucked strings, upbeat grooves or thumping beats while still looking classy. Many Barry White songs will sound like the instruments were pretty much an afterthought even though they’re quite important to the piece. I took these with me on a trip to a cabin in the woods and they felt right at home with the warm, relaxed tones blending in with the cabin setting, I was so comfortable sitting on the couch forgetting about all the hustle and bustle of my normal work week and just focusing on my favorite tunes.

There’s also an included hard shell case if you don’t feel like putting that warranty to the test anytime soon. the lower mids present with mild thickness and texture while the upper are more forward and instruments and Female vocals can be spicy in higher volumes and on brighter equipment. They are comprised entirely of walnut wood, zinc, ABS, silicone, and spring steel and finished with pleather and memory foam. The accessories are simple enough; there is, after all, not much you can do with a set of headphones. This review of the 99 Classics is long overdue, but I'm glad I finally got to check a set-out and see what they could do. We’re taking headphone design to a new level by combining modern with handcrafted design, using natural materials and focusing on delivering the best premium sound.Also, 99 Classics have this lovely timbre of vocals and live instruments, which is pretty easy to love. adaptor makes these headphones ideal for use with your home hi-fi, while the airline jack means you can listen in luxury when flying, too. With the ov21, bass will sound more pronounced than it appears in the chart above due to a steep under-emphasis in the mids.

They offer little protection from external noise, so they aren't the best for use in noisy environments. Really for a home Hifi style headphone, the Meze 99 Classics are right up there with some of the comfiest closed-back headphones I have ever worn. I'd not heard of Meze Audio before, but on the basis of these headphones I'd happily consider them again.
