Step 3: Take a long piece of twine and tie a knot at one end and then thread on a wooden bead. If your bead moves around, you can tie on another knot below to secure it. Step 4: Start gluing on groups of mistletoe, varying how many leaves you use each time. Leave a gap, then add another wooden bead, then more mistletoe. Mistletoe is such a classic Christmas decoration--even if you don't follow the tradition of kissing under it. Mistletoe's green leaves and white berries are absolutely beautiful. Taking time to decorate your home for the holidays is one of the joys of the season. Every crafter who is planning making their own Christmas decorations will need to decide what type of DIY Christmas garland they would like as part of their decoration planning. Cut a 12-inch piece of thin velvet ribbon and glue the ends together to create a loop. This will be how you hang your mistletoe. Create more small branches on each wire branch by folding the wire over itself and twisting small sections. (See the video for more detail on how to do this.) The easiest way is to trace the pattern pieces onto Reynolds Freezer Paper, iron onto the felt and then cut out. The freezer paper peels off easily and can be re-used.

Continue gluing on mistletoe pieces until you like the finished look. Then glue on your berries, trying to evenly disperse them. This mistletoe ornament is an easy DIY Christmas ornament to make.
