I’ve had a similar problem before, but this one seems to be determined. Last time I mounted the URSA Mini 4.6K with BMD Shoulder Mount yesterday evening in that marathon shoot, I think the fore and aft camera alignment is incorrect so the VCT projects too far forward; I see maybe a couple of centimeters of the VCT extend forward beyond the shoulder mount. I don’t think that’s correct. The shoulder pad portion of the VCT Universal is set as far forward on the plate as possible, also to maximize your accessory capable rod area and aid with balance.
