Description

The concept of the C-Pen is built around the need to help students improve their reading skills, such that in 2015, PISA identified that 18% of 15-year-olds in England still fail to achieve the minimum level of literacy proficiency. When selecting these modes, the menu will flip accordingly (letting you hold the C-Pen in either hand) and the device will be set to be able to scan either right to left or left to right (depending on your stronger hand).

If you are interested in the C-Pen Reader 2, there are a few things you will need to know about this device. The pen is rechargeable, it works on various operating systems (including Linux), and it can be quite useful. Personally, I think the best thing about the C-Pen reader is that it helps people with dyslexia overcome a barrier that has disadvantaged them their whole lives. Not only are the words read aloud to users as the nib of the pen passes over them, but the Reader Pen can also improve their vocabulary with the touch of a button, through the inbuilt Collins English Dictionary and Oxford French and Spanish Dictionary. Furthermore, the history of any words that are searched for in the dictionary remain stored on the pen, which allows teachers or support personnel to have important conversations with students regarding their understanding of new vocabulary. Who is the C-Pen for? With the second version of the C-Pen Reader, there are even more options you can use. Furthermore, the reader supports various fonts, styles, and size ranges, and it will work even better compared to the previous model. To find out whether your exam board has approval to use the C-Pen Exam Reader 2, please consult your awarding body for guidance. But even if a child doesn’t have a learning or reading disability, C-Pens can still be a valuable tool for education. They will simplify the process, make it easier for children to understand the content, and it is a great option for auditory learners. What people say about using C-pen readers and where to find them Everything is built-in and there is no need or requirement for internet connection. Become independent and efficient

The pen is surprisingly quiet when it reads out loud. If you’re getting this pen for someone who’s hard of hearing, think twice. The pen isn’t very forgiving if you waver from the line of the text. You really need to scan a nice clean straight line across the text. The C-Pen comes fully equipped with headphones, meaning the pen can not only be used in a noisy environment but also discretely, allowing students to avoid bringing attention to their disability and disturbing others.

Features a standard micro-USB connector for charging and connecting to computers, as well as a standard 3.5 mm connector for headphones (included). What's included? The best way I can describe it is that it sounds like Stephen Hawking. You’re not going to get smooth and perfect intonation of a natural human voice. There’s a long pause at periods or randomly in the middle of a sentence. We took everything great from the ExamReader and made major enhancements for the Exam Reader 2. Scanning speeds are even faster now with AI-supported text-to-speech. The C-Pen Exam Reader 2™ also supports 10+ languages and features an audio-aided user interface to improve accessibility for all. Portable Cost-Effective Exam SupportAI Dubbing Automatically translate and dub new or existing videos in over 100’s of languages with AI video dubbing. Roll the pen over a single word and a dictionary definition will appear on the display. It can also read the definition out loud to you. It uses the Collins Dictionary to find the definitions (but that’s all built-in, no need for Wifi!) FAST SPEAK OPTION: Increase the speed of the voice so it reads text out loud more fluently for increased efficiency This is an empowering tool for learners with dyslexia, so I think it’s worth the money. However, it’s best for people 10 years of age or older as it requires a steady and patient hand.
