Apart from astronomy, I am a keen collector of crystals and minerals (chunks of our planet, you might say), books (which explains Tucana Books), pre-decimal English coins (this ties in with my love of history) and Australian stamps. Amongst the books written for an older readership are The Practical Astronomer (Quarto Publishing) and An Introduction to Practical Astronomy (The Apple Press), both being guides to practical astronomy for amateur stargazers. I did get a pc when I was about 10 though, when they were very expensive relative to wages and we were not rich at all.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. While they may have sentimental value, bibles passed down through the family are not often worth a lot of money.
