Description

If you’re looking for a game to play with your kids that can help with their cognitive skills, then look no further than Pictureka. The level playing field the game provides will help younger players make memories of adults and older brothers and sisters scanning frantically trying to he first to find the objective and shout Pictureka! All at once, look for the picture as fast as you can. Shout Pictureka! and point to the picture as soon as you find it. The first to find it keeps the card.

The idea for the game was first proposed in 2005 under the name project X. It was first released to the public in 2006.Fortunately, there are a lot of cards included within a standard set of Pictureka. So include as many cards as possible to prolong gameplay.

One specific thing that players can do is when the red cards are in play. In this case, only give one tile to each player if there are five or more playing. Mish Mash: Set the number of cards you need to win higher or lower to make the game longer or shorter. This version involves using the die, but aside from that, the games aren’t all that different. You will notice that the numbers on the dice are colored, relating to the Mission Cards. In this version, the players roll the die to decide the color of the cards they will play.

Play Mish Mash

If a player shouts at ‘Pictureka’ and then fails to point out where the mission objective is, this would be a good example of a player ‘cheating’. Each choose any tile and put it in front of you. If there are 4 players or fewer, help yourself to 2 tiles each. Try to keep the ‘punishment’ lighthearted as well, like getting the offending player to apologize to everyone. Alternative Games to Pictureka Pictureka! is simple to learn and so much fun to play. It is great for all ages and, in fact, playing with a wider variety of people adds something to the game and it will become a firm family favourite. As it is not a strategy game with lots to learn and understand adults have no real advantage over children. In fact, it often appears that the younger the player the better the eyesight and faster the reactions and so this often results in the older players becoming more competitive as they start to lose to the younger ones! So let’s look at what you’ll need to play Pictureka, what the cards mean, and learn how to play by the rules. What You’ll Need?

One of the pictures is an arrow with points on both sides, right and left. This arrow means that the player can switch positions of any of the game tiles. Whoever successfully completes their mission keeps the card, and the player to the left takes their turn. There are two different ways to play Pictureka, “ Round and Round” and “ Mish Mash.” Both versions are very similar, but one involves using the dice. Below I will take you through a step-by-step guide to each version. Round and Round Have the chosen player to begin the game start by rolling the dice and drawing a card that corresponds to the color on the dice. Arrange the 9 Game Tiles into a grid that is 3×3. Once done, sort the cards into the three color groups and ensure that you shuffle these.Red mission cards are the ‘My Tile’ card, which requires all players to have a specific tile. Players then compete to be the first to find the object listed on the mission card.
